Purvi has over 15 years of experience in public affairs, lobbying, and strategic communications, with a focus on projects and issues spanning across California and other regions within the US West.

Early in her career, Purvi served as the Legislative Director for Los Angeles City Councilmember and former Chief of Police, Bernard C. Parks where she spearheaded initiatives in economic development, energy, environment, public works, infrastructure, and housing.

Purvi was also a Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs where she collaborated with a diverse array of clients, including large-scale multi-lot housing and commercial developments, education, nonprofit and emerging tech. She developed and implemented campaigns and strategies on behalf of her clients utilizing direct lobbying, stakeholder development, and communications tools.

As the Government Affairs lead at SoCalGas, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, Purvi played a pivotal role in interfacing with the company’s internal operations teams on major pipeline projects and the relocation/installation of gas infrastructure for projects of varying scales. She developed strategies and facilitated dialogue with external stakeholders, including city and county departments, policymakers, and affected communities. Notably, she advocated for natural gas as a crucial component of California’s energy portfolio. Purvi also undertook efforts to educate state and local officials on the benefits of utilizing natural gas in the development of hydrogen.

Purvi also possesses significant expertise in emerging and disruptive industries as is exemplified by her public affairs contributions within two startups: Pacaso, a property brokerage company, and AirMap, a drone technology software company specializing in providing safe UAV flights beyond the visual line of sight
