Our Team

Mat has been with the firm since 2007 and services clients at the Local, State, and Federal levels of government. He began his career in governmental affairs in the West Palm Beach Mayor’s Office serving in three different administrations and now manages the needs of Florida and National clients from our West Palm Beach Office. He works with clients in a variety of fields including local governments, gaming, arts & culture, tourism, and transportation.

Mat works extensively in the Florida legislative appropriations process. For years he has helped guide clients through the complicated process of creating projects and defining them for successful inclusion in the annual General Appropriations Act that is passed by the Legislature. Mat’s clients have secured funding for public infrastructure, transportation improvements, cultural facilities, crime prevention, park improvements, beach re-nourishment and many more. He has also been a successful advocate for funding and of large capital improvements for higher education clients and contract procurements.

At the Federal level, Mat uses his almost two decades of experience and Florida relationships to assist clients with the Florida Congressional Delegation. He also assists with numerous Executive Branch issues engaging at the State Department, Department of the Interior, and the White House.

When not in Washington or Tallahassee, he resides in West Palm Beach with his wife, Jillian, and three children. Personally, Mat is an avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, and endurance athlete. He is very involved in a variety of local and national philanthropies including Pi Kappa Alpha and the Scouting America.
