Justin Sayfie is a Partner at Ballard Partners and a federal lobbyist, government relations consultant, and licensed attorney based in Washington, D.C. He advises major corporations and global industry leaders on their strategy before Congress and the federal agencies of the executive branch, drawing on more than two decades of experience across the executive and legislative branches and at the highest levels of federal and state government.

Justin’s effectiveness in Washington is grounded in his service across the executive and legislative branches. President Donald J. Trump appointed him to the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships from 2018 to 2020, a role he also held under President George W. Bush. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior policy advisor and spokesman for Florida Governor Jeb Bush. U.S. Senator Mel Martinez appointed him Chairman of the Federal Legislative Nominating Commission for the Southern District of Florida, where he led the selection of federal district judges and U.S. attorneys from 2005 to 2008.

A frequent voice in national politics, Justin has appeared as a commentator on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. He is also the founder and publisher of Sayfie Review, Florida’s influential political news site and mobile app, a must-read for the state’s political community since 2002.

Education and Affiliations

Justin earned his bachelor’s degree in American Government from Georgetown University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and published a Law Review article. He began his career practicing law in the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig before joining Governor Bush’s administration. He is a member of the American Council on Germany and the American Swiss Foundation.
