Our Team

Alex Barrera served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Speaker for the Florida House of Representatives, where he advised on the state budget process and coordinated priorities across House leadership, budget committees, and the Governor’s office.

He previously served as Finance Director for House Majority, overseeing campaign finance strategy in support of the Speaker Designate and State House candidates. Earlier in his career, Alex held senior roles across both the private and public sectors, including Vice President at a national retail chain, where he directed multi-state regulatory and legislative affairs, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Advisor to the City Manager for the City of Miami, where he led the City’s state and federal lobbying efforts. He also served as Chief of Staff for a City of Miami Commission District, managing operations as well as advising on public policy and legislative initiatives.

Alex holds a degree in Political Science from Florida State University.
