
Tucker Knott

Tucker Knott is an experienced Capitol Hill and public affairs professional, most recently serving as Chief of Staff to Senator Ted Budd (R-NC). He brings more than 15 years of experience spanning federal campaigns, legislative operations, and corporate government relations, with deep expertise in congressional procedure, policy strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
Tucker began his career on the campaign side as Campaign Manager for former Congressman George Holding’s initial race for Congress. He later joined Congressman Holding’s Washington office, serving as Chief of Staff for more than seven years. In that role, he oversaw congressional operations while continuing to manage campaign efforts each election cycle. During his tenure, Congressman Holding served on the House Ways and Means Committee.
Between his service in the House and Senate, Tucker transitioned to the private sector as Senior Director of Government Relations at Pfizer during the COVID-19 pandemic. There, he led multiple congressional initiatives, with a focus on engagement with the House Republican Conference.
In 2022, Tucker played a key role in then-Congressman Ted Budd’s successful U.S. Senate campaign and subsequently joined the transition team following the general election. He was appointed Chief of Staff, where he helped stand up the Washington, D.C. and North Carolina offices and managed the senator’s legislative and administrative operations. Senator Budd serves on the Senate Intelligence, Armed Services, Commerce, Small Business, and Joint Economic Committees.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Tucker holds a degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College.
